Only a limited number of us who can remember all four
Please note: I recorded the records the old fashioned, “Old Math,” way, not the common core math way. You know the one in which they divide and multiply before adding and subtracting. And they fail to teach long division.
Yes, Common Core and No Child Left Behind. No wonder the kids cannot count or read or write. LOL
Another note: I have been a Steelers fan since 1955, and I am so proud of those early years of Chuck Noll — and to a certain extent, Bill Cowher.
Six Super Bowls. Awesome, tied for the best ever.
However, the last one is from 2007 season, 17 years ago. The longest drought since 1979 to 2005, 26 years. Using that math, we will not win another one for nine years. At that time, I will be 86 -- but that may be a reach.
Today, I am a realist. I said about seven years ago that they would never win another Lombardi Trophy in my lifetime — as long as Mike Tomlin was the coach — and A Rooney II was running the operation.
I also said that according to math, the Steelers would not win another Super Bowl until 2033. That was the length of time from Chuck's last Super Bowl in the 1979 season to Bill Cowher's only one.
So, this is reality for those who think that 2024 may be the year.
Let's live in reality. Their schedule has been a farce, but here is what they face the rest of the way.
Am I a pessimist? I prefer the term realist.

Either 9-8 or 8-9. No playoff win again, since 2016, no Super Bowl. Should give him another two year extension.
